Built in 1943 after the original company store caught fire, the company store was the supply house for coal miners and their families. Locals also gathered there to play cards and socialize.

Today, the store is a slice of coal-mining history and offers groceries, cigarettes and beer, RV and riding accessories, and emergency supplies.
